HARMONIC RESOLUTION THERAPY SESSIONS

1.      Session form and orientation (fill out form and interview client)

This form helps to establish the current condition of the client, music preferences, and session intent (see HRT session Questionnaire)

2.   Establish intent

3.  Record and process voice

  1. Click on harmonic resonance icon

  1. Select process new voicing (requires license)

  1. Select record (SoundRecorder pops up preformatted)

1.       The SoundRecorder comes up automatically programmed when it is accessed through the “process new voicing” button on the control page.  This button is disabled until a processing license is purchased.   Never stop a recording and start it again without closing down the SoundRecorder window and accessing it again through this button.

2.       Never append a recording by attempting to adjust its volume, cutting or erasing segments, or by starting and stopping the SoundRecorder.

3.       Never allow a recording to clip the microphone.   Clipping can be seen on the microphone or mixer as a red light, or meter readings above zero db.  In addition, clipping can be seen on the SoundRecorder as flat readings across the top and/or bottom of the spectral display as it is recording.  If the voicing clips close down the recorder, choose Process New Voicing from the menu below and redo the voicing.

4.       If there is any trouble with processing a voicing, or if you are giving instructions to someone else who is sending you a voicing by email or some other digital means, please make sure the SoundRecorder used is formatted as follows:

a.       Select properties and then “convert now”

b.       Choose PCM format at 32,000 16 bit mono sampling rate

c.       Select OK

D.     Choose voicing style:  methodology used in voicing determines meaning and value (diagnosis & feedback):  There are different styles of voicings, each used for a specific purpose or intent:

1.       Single toned voicing: reveals purity of intent, coherency, harmonic distortion and signal to noise ratio (s/n ratio). This voicing is performed by saying "my name is" and then changing the word is into a tone of the same frequency. Click "record" on the SoundRecorder when the single tone starts and collect a 10 second sample.

2.       Ramped tone voicing: reveals channel bandwidth (# of possible channels). This voicing is performed by starting at the highest possible frequency and then ramping down to the lowest.  Afterwards, a reverse ramp is made back up to the highest possible frequency.

3.       Standard voicing: separates real & imaginary ratio from complex domain.  This is usually an impassioned statement about a want, need, exhortation, or known strength. Have the client start by saying "three-two-one...I am (state their name)...and what I want is” (or need or some other statement that they can feel passionate about).   Start the recording at the end of three-two-one. A single sentence is enough.

4.       Music scale voicing: reveals music notation of voice.  The voicing is done by making each of the 12 semitones of as many octaves as possible.

  1. Have customer perform the appropriate voicing

F.      Select File, Save As, and type in their name and date in YYMMDD format  such as Name030115 for a session done on Jan 15, 2003 (no spaces-commas-dashes).  Make sure that the file saves to the C:\Harmonic Resolution\Waves folder.  The file should save with a dot wav extension (filename.wav).

  1. Select Connect, click on the filename in the window at the bottom of the screen (it should be the one you just saved) and select Process. The voicing will take one to six minutes to process depending on the speed of your computer and your Internet service provider."  A broadband connection is almost mandatory for high turnover. When the option to Close appears select it. You will now be in the Control Page view of the software with the voicing you just processed in the window.  Exit out of the control window back to the desktop.

  1. The installation program, drivers, and instructions should be stored in a folder on your hard drive called harmonic resolution client version. Go back to the desktop and put in a new CD-R. When the easy CD creator screen appears choose "Create CD for distribution among other computers". Use the file manager that appears to find my computer, then local drive c:\, then Harmonic Resolution, then the matrices folder. Drag the folder with the client's name into the create CD section. Drag the client version of the software from your hard drive also into the create CD section. Select create CD. This CD is for the client to take home and install on their computer. However, before giving it to the client, you should use it to transfer to your second computer if you use the dual pc setup. This allows the ultimate smooth operation with minimum interruption of the client during sessions.

  1. Place the created CD into the second computer. This step can be skipped if you are using only one computer. Select my computer, then the CD player. Point at the client’s folder (not the take home software), right click, and choose copy. Go back to my computer and select c:\, then Harmonic Resolution, then the matrices folder. Click inside the matrices folder, right click, and choose paste. This places the client's folder into the software on the 2nd computer. Go back to the desktop and click on the harmonic resolution icon to enter the control page. The client's session will be in the popup list at the bottom of the screen. Clicking the session name will bring up the client’s session on the control page.

4.  Review Harmonic Resolution Evaluation (Interpretation of Results)

The assessment of data can be started while the CD is being burned and transferred.  Warning!  Diagnostic information gleaned from the HRTprocess is not a certified medical analysis, and should never be used in place of qualified medical attention.  This information is provided only for validation, feedback design, and research purposes (see the general disclaimer and warning on the first page of this manual).

Note:  there is a difference between Analysis and Experience (see Peak Experience article).  We believe the real power and value of HRTlies in the experience of it.  Whereas the analysis may provide interesting and validating information, it can also block the experience.  In addition, this process can sometimes reveal more than people want to know about themselves.   We therefore highly recommend that experience be prioritized over analysis unless the client insists otherwise.

In order to review results and/or run sessions, it is necessary to return to the Control Page by clicking on the Harmonic Resolution icon on the desktop.  (if the icon is not on the desktop, it can be found in C:\ Harmonic Resolution \ !Source \ Harmonic Resolution.exe.)

HARMONIC RESOLUTION EVALUATION:  THE CONTROL PAGE

Use the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page to select a Stored Session.

Clicking on any one of the twelve small image icons in the upper right hand corner places the chosen “matrix” into the large window on the left hand side of the Control Page.  Clicking directly on the image enables the full screen mode so that the matrix is the only image seen on the screen.
Viewing these images at a resolution of 800 x 600 will afford the highest quality matrix renderings.

The Harmonic Resolution Data Pages reveal the following:

HARMONIC RESOLUTION EVALUATION: CONTROL PAGE (WITH CHOSEN MATRIX IMAGE)

A. Total available energy - Normalized magnitude (on bottom of control page) 2

Obtained by comparing the normalized magnitude reading on the control page to a previous voicing, or to the average of other multiple client voicings to get a relative and comparative reading on the amount of total current available energy... An indication of what the intent of the voicing does to the client's energy.  The magnitudes of all partials are “normalized” to the client.  The highest magnitude partial is established as 100% with all other partials ranked relative to the highest.  Therefore, the level of the voice recording does not influence the reading.

Magnitude commonly ranges from 300 to 600 with an average value of 450.  Values below 200 could be considered relatively low energy, whereas values above 700 could be considered relatively high energy.

B.  Reserve energy (shown on the Spectral Domain Data Page)

The first column on the left represents the current distribution of energy by phase.  This column (as all others) consists of five sections (see below in phase distribution).

The top white section of four rows represents the totaled accumulations of the red, green, and blue sections.  The bottom white set of four rows represents reserve energy not yet in dynamic play, and still “re-directable”.  In other words, potential rather than actual energy.

Reserve is calculated by measuring the excess energy at the amplitude level shared by the red, green & blue sub-domains of an individual matrix partial.  Imagine a set of three graduated cylinders, each scored from 0 to 100, which contain liquid light.  For the sake of this example, let's say that the first one has 57 units of red light, the second 28 units of green, and the third 14 units of blue.  If we scan up from the bottom of all three cylinders, we'll see that all of them are filled with light in a shared manner up to 14 units.  Thus, 14 is the measure that we could take out of all three and combine them to a pure, white light.  In mathematical reality, it's a bit more complicated than this - because we have to use the natural logarithms of the root of the sums of the squares of each measure to arrive at true magnitude - but that's the fundamental essence of the operation.  And because the white light is an expression of all colors, we can extract raw materials from our "combined solution" to apply within any sub-domain.  Also, it's one of those rare instances where you can get "something out of nothing"...because the energy available is already present and active within the sub-domains of its origin as well.2

C. CURRENT ENERGY DISTRIBUTION (FOUR TYPES)

I. Real: Imaginary ratio (r:i) = reveals the difference between the frequencies (partials) in the voice which have imaginary components in play versus real components in play. Partials in-play (dynamic flow as opposed to stasis) have amplitudes above the threshold of activity for the normalized spectrum,.  Partials below this threshold are considered to be static or out of play.  The (r:i) ratio is shown on the bottom of the Control Page as the total number of real versus imaginary partials.  Example (r1039:1493i).

As shown earlier, Real and Imaginary are the terms used to describe the actual and potential components of body and spirit.  The tension created by the polarity between these two different forms of energy is resolved by the third form of energy in the Complex domain of mind.

INFORMATION

This is the real significance of the so-called whole brain theories, which describe the differences between the left and right cortexes.  Many techniques and technologies have been developed to aid in balancing both halves of the brain into a “whole brain state”…an extremely balanced and coherent state of mind.  Some of these techniques utilize the phenomenon of binaural beats or “beat frequencies” to entrain the brain into balance by causing the brain to resolve the difference between two different frequencies…the difference in left and right channels being some frequency chosen for a specific purpose such as relaxation.  Making the binaural beat equal to an alpha state frequency would have such an effect.  HRT utilizes the same technique but using the difference between the individual’s real and imaginary energy and coaxing their brain into resolution.  Not only can a specific frequency be used but, in addition, all of the overtones (partials) in their voice can be used, creating an entire orchestra of binaural beats and phasings, requiring multiple resolutions in both domains.

Human beings are personality arrangements of these three primary forms of energy…body, mind, and spirit.   The real to imaginary ratio (r:i) shows the tension between physical and spiritual energies that must be resolved by mind before transformation can take place.  As such, this measurement could also be called the Personality Ratio.1

A ratio of (100r:50i)  would indicate a personality that prioritizes action over thought.  A pronounced example of this might be called…absent minded.  On the other hand a ratio of (50r:100i)  would indicate a personality that prioritizes thought over action.  A strong reading like this might be called procrastination.  The (r:i) ratio can also indicate whether a person is currently in a “being” mode or in a “doing” mode.  These two modes are balanced by mind in the “becoming” mode.

Ii. Frequency distribution = reveals the total number and distribution of frequencies.  The HRT software collects all harmonic frequencies present within an individual’s signature before processing and extracts the harmonic essence.  The body is similar to a transceiver.  The more frequencies it has, the more channels it can communicate on.  In addition, these frequencies are small strings (Superstring theory) that are used to weave together the membranes that make up the body.  The more frequencies…the more strings…the more integral the membranes (see the section on living membranes).  Frequency distribution is shown as both total number of both real & imaginary partials on the bottom right corner of the control page.  In addition, it can be viewed in spectral map form on the linear page, and as bandwidth distribution on the spectral data page, as described below: (to access these pages select data page in the bottom right corner of the control page.

There are three different indicators of frequency distribution:

1.      Total number of partials

2.      Frequency distribution (spectral maps)

3.      Banding (distribution within the Spectral Torus)

1.  Total number of partials (bottom right corner of control page).

The total number of partials at whole number ratios of the great diesis...an indication of the total frequency distribution or number of channels capable of transmission and/or reception.  Shown as the ratio between total real and imaginary partials:

Example (r1786:1864i) = total of 3650 partials at whole number ratios of the great diesis.
